As you can see, this kitchen originally flaunted classic shades of brown, reminiscent of the 1990s. Maple cabinets with light laminate countertops presented a calm, easygoing space. It had been a lovely kitchen in its day, but wear-and-tear and the overwhelmingly brown color scheme begged for an update.
Hello to Elegant Gray, Black, and White Kitchen Colors
The homeowners were ready for a more contemporary style with a touch of glamour and vitality.
- They chose a lively glass backsplash tile in a vibrant mosaic pattern.
- Granite kitchen countertops in a black and white design were the impeccable enhancement.

The preparation stage of this project isn't so exciting, but it's so important for quality, lasting results. The Cincinnati Cabinet Refinishing team developed a 20-step cabinet painting process we follow to help ensure our customers' satisfaction.
During this step, we took measurements as needed, and triple-cleaned all surfaces to remove dirt, grease and any contamination.
The plumber fixed a water leak under the sink. And our carpenter made necessary repairs, like this split in the wood at the frame hinge. He also repaired the water damage and applied a new skin to the under-sink cabinet floor.
It's Time for Our Cabinet Painters to Shine!
In this phase of the kitchen remodel project, we removed all cabinet doors and drawers and brought them to our shop to be painted offsite. In the meantime, we painted the cabinet boxes. We painted the island peninsula box, cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and drawer false panels in Endless Sea SW 9150. Sherwin-Williams calls it a deep, mysterious sea blue. It's a good choice as a focal point and the gray undertones contrast beautifully with the gray painted cabinets.
Custom Built Cabinet Coffee Bar
A kitchen remodel is the perfect time to enhance function and ease of use. Our homeowner wanted more storage and countertop space. So, our talented carpenters got to work building custom cabinets. We then installed this new coffee bar for a seamless match with the rest of the kitchen design.
